Estate & Trust Administration

After a death, the paperwork should be the least of your worries. We take it on, and guide you every step of the way.

Overview

The first step after a loss is asking the right questions. Is there a will or trust, and who was named executor or trustee? If there is no will, did your loved one leave any written instructions? What assets exist, and where? Is there tension in the family? Any chance your loved one was taken advantage of in their last days? If you have not started asking these questions, we will ask them for you.

How we help after a loss

Probate

With or without a will, we guide the executor or administrator through the county probate process, from petition to final distribution.

Non-probate
assets

Living trusts, joint accounts, POD and TOD designations, life insurance, and IRAs pass outside probate. We make sure each reaches the right beneficiary.

Trust administration
& fiduciary accounting

We help trustees understand their obligations, and prepare the precise accountings the law requires beneficiaries to receive.
